How it works

Every caricature starts with someone sending me photos of a car they love. Not long after, they get their own car back — squished, wrinkled, sitting on fat little wheels, but still unmistakably theirs. Here is exactly how that happens, what you get, and what I need from you.

  1. Order the listing that matches your car. Porsche 911 F, 911 G, 964, 993 or a VW T1 bus. Driving something else? Write to me first — see the FAQ below.
  2. Reply to your order confirmation email with photos. That email lands in your inbox straight after checkout. Attach your photos and tell me anything you want included. See the photo tips below.
  3. I model, render and animate your car, and send everything to you by email. There is one round of small tweaks before the final render, so if the wheels or a colour need adjusting, just say so.

What you get

  • 5 high-resolution renders — PNG, roughly 4K, portrait. Big enough for a phone wallpaper, a print on the wall, or your profile picture.
  • 1 turntable video — MP4, your car rotating in 3D. Made in the right shape for Reels and Stories.
  • One round of small tweaks before the final render.
  • A personal-use licence. Print it, frame it, post it, gift it. For commercial use — a business, a club, a product — just ask and we will sort out a licence.

How to photograph your car

You do not need a professional photographer. A phone and ten minutes in good light is plenty. What helps me most:

  • A front three-quarter shot — standing at the front corner so you see the nose and one side at once. This is the single most useful photo.
  • A straight side view, from roughly the height of the door handles.
  • The rear, and a rear three-quarter if you can.
  • Close-ups of anything that makes it yours — the wheels, a spoiler, stickers, a roof rack, the interior, a period-correct detail, a scar with a story.
  • Even light. Overcast days are ideal. Harsh midday sun hides the shapes I need to exaggerate.

Older or lower-quality photos usually still work — it just means a few more questions from me along the way. If you are not sure what you have is enough, send it over before ordering and I will tell you.

Price

€129 for a full commission — the five renders and the turntable video. Nothing is posted, so there is no shipping cost and no customs, wherever you are.

How long it takes

I am still at school, and I make every caricature myself in the evenings and at weekends. That means I do not promise a fixed number of days — I would rather be honest than miss a date. Once your photos arrive I will give you a realistic date and keep you posted as I go. If you need it for a particular day, ask me before you order and I will tell you straight away whether it is possible.

Ordering it as a gift

A caricature of someone's own car is a good present, and you do not need their help to arrange it. Order it, send me whatever photos you can find — social media, a shared album, a photo taken in their driveway — and tell me it is a surprise. If it is for a particular date, tell me before you order so we can check there is enough time.

Questions people ask

My car is not one of the models listed. Can you do it?

Write to hello@samdrawscars.com before ordering. The models on the shop are the ones I have built and know well. Anything else is a much bigger job, so I will tell you honestly whether I can take it on, how long it would take and what it would cost.

Can I print it?

Yes. The renders are print-ready at poster size. If you would like me to handle the printing, ask when you order.

What if I want something changed?

Tell me before the final render and I will adjust it. One round of small tweaks — colour, wheels, details — is included in the price.

Can I use it for my business, club or event?

Ask, and we will agree a commercial licence — for customer gifts, club merchandise, an event, or anything else beyond personal use.

Can you do several cars in one scene?

Yes — a collection, a father-and-son pair, a club line-up. Write to me with what you have in mind and I will quote it.

How do I get it?

By email, as files you download.
